Our History

In 2000, Dr. Lee Rice founded a patient-centered practice designed to transform healthcare and promote well-being. As a pioneer in wellness, Dr. Rice was ahead of his time, and his passion for Lifewellness Institute is reflected in every aspect of the clinic and the care we provide.

In 2020, Lifewellness Institute partnered with San Diego Sports Medicine and Family Health Center, also founded by Dr. Rice. This partnership expanded our services and allowed us to offer personalized care, including the introduction of Premier Patient Care, our newest membership-based medical program.

We provide care for the entire family, specializing in family, sports, preventive, and lifestyle medicine. Our team offers comprehensive healthcare for children, adolescents, teens, adults, seniors, and athletes of all ages. Mental health is an integral part of our care, and we work with specialists in areas such as addiction and substance abuse when needed.

Lifewellness Institute also offers corporate wellness programs, educational seminars, and executive health services for businesses looking to support employee wellness.
